About Our Project

In our daily lives, we cannot pass the day without causing friction. Even simple actions like cleaning, tapping, or driving can cause friction, and by using the benefits of this common occurrence, we can acquire an additional energy source that can help our society supply electricity in times of shortages or emergencies.

Historical Background

Triboelectricity, also referred to as static electricity, is a phenomenon that was first noted by the Greek philosopher Thales of Miletus about 2500 years ago.

TRIBOELECTRIC EFFECT

The triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG, also known as the Wang generator), which Wang first proposed in 2012.

RISING OF TRIBOELECTRIC NANOGENERATORS

In March 2017, a Research Scientist at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, Dr. Xiao-Sheng Zhang from Peking University, Institute of Microelectronics, Beijing, China, 2014.
